Wonderful podcast
I’ve really enjoyed this podcast, having listened to 4-5 episodes at this point. I think some of the criticisms I’ve read are unwarranted because in my mind this podcast is aiming to take what the composer (and librettist) were thinking in writing certain operas or arias, and relating them to modern times. In this regard I think the podcast has been successful in trying to take what is often mistakenly viewed as a dated form of art and showing how it is very much applicable to the world we live in today. And this is done by interviewing some excellent singers, scholars, and other figures and deconstructing the music in an approachable way. I hope this podcast continues.
