“Really appreciate your podcast. Very high energy. Love that it’s deep and specific but still compact to a nice one hour chunk. Love your banter together but I also appreciate that - unlike other shows - you tend to get right into it! Really like that you both bring perspective to things meaning … something that everyone overeats to - you keep it in check (as in, the world is not falling apart if someone fumbles once in the snow, etc.). Keep up the great work!
QUESTION: I fully realize that defenses are employing this supposed “book on how to defend Mahomes” with the 2 high safeties, 3-4 man rush, drop many into coverage. But am tiring of it being a forgone media - or even player / coach - conclusion that you “gotta take what they give you.” Or that “obviously Chiefs won’t take deep shots now.” My question is “why can’t an offense w this swagger and this talent be the ones who dictate what happens TO the defense? A great defense dictates what happens to a bad or mediocre offense. But, why is NO ONE talking about - as Walter White said in Breaking Bad - “we are the ones who knock!” I followed the Greatest Show on Turf very closely as a fan. And never once heard any one on that team or their media say “well it was fun while it lasted but they started putting safeties way back so obviously that ended that fun and we had to change completely.” It’s frustrating to hear/see for what is - in theory - a historic Chiefs offense w championship swagger.”
