Heather Jarvis is a lecturer at the Centre for Advancing Journalism at the University of Melbourne. Prior to that, for over 20 years she was a journalist, presenter & producer at the ABC, specialising in radio and online coverage of development, cultural, sports and social issues in the Pacific and Asia. Heather is a qualified track and field coach and has many years experience in community sports club administration. She has a strong interest in sports for community development, a Master of Development Studies from Deakin University and is keen to see more equal participation and representation of women in sport at all levels.
