I watched ‘Paul Morrisey’s “Flesh”: Seeing through the eyes of Warhol’s America’ It seemed to be a perfectly excellent graduate presentation by Melanie Ross with some really fascinating points to make. The problem, is the editing of the final product. In some places the video is not in sync with the audio… as in Melanie is narrating while a short clip is playing. Instead of Melanie stopping as she would have done during the presentation, the clip starts playing right over top of Melanie’s narration. Later on other clips just start playing at the most untimely places. As the presentation moves along, the images become more and more out of sync with what is being said. As far as I’m concerned, whoever did the editing has done such a huge disservice to all the hard work and effort put forth by a graduate student noless. This was like a really bad joke.
