Listen now
Description
"Everything you do or see as an artist affects the dialogue of art making." In episode 15, Florence Alfano McEwin shares how tales weave magic through life and art. Florence is a Professor Emeritus and  artist living in remote Wyoming.  She works in print and paint mediums. Her prints of Red Riding Hood Speaks are wry commentaries on daily male/female interactions and mundane domestic chores.  She often entwines observational landscapes of her surroundings and animal drawings of her pets into these images.  Her works have been appreciated by international and national audiences including those in Japan, Canada, Italy, Germany, England, Scotland, the Netherlands and  France. Her awards have included the George and Helen Segal Foundation Award in Painting ( NJ) for works on Red Riding Hood, both 2017 and 2009 Wyoming State Art Fellowships and numerous national and international acknowledgements including a print award in Beijing China. www.florencealfanomcewin.com @mcewinflorencealfano www.artmumseurope.org @artmumseurope www.artmumsunited.com @artmumsunited Support the show
