Best art making podcast out there
Great and insightful episode Nick. It’s been a lengthy process but I have finally come around to a lot that you say in this episode around my art making and how it fits into my life and why I make the art that I do. I’m still not very eloquent in writing or talking about it but I now am way more at peace with my process and stops and starts knowing that even if I’m not in my studio all the time, I am always creating and thinking about my art…but also getting in there even just to do a sketchbook page is just fine. It doesn’t have to be hours and hours as long as I’m doing something art related. That way I feel like I’m moving forward. My horses also give me a lot of peace and pleasure and sometimes can feel like they are pulling me away from my artmaking but I’m coming to realize that the time spent with my horses is absolutely synchronized and in step with my art making as they ground me and keep me honest. There is no fooling a horse. 😂 Thank you for being there to explain a lot of this as it is a bit of a head scratch a lot of the time.

So glad I found this podcast! The host is so easy to listen to, comments on the art and interacts with the artist in such an articulate, clear down to earth way. His voice and commentary are so pleasant! And I think his choice of artists is just great!!!!!!!

Through pandemic isolation my art was reduced to just dabbling when I felt like it - which wasn't often - and now I feel I have found a new way of looking and feeling my way through any artwork....Read full review »
