Finally I found the real art history podcast!
OK, there are others... but, the museum podcasts border between exhibit advertisements and academic dissertation contests. This is not entirely bad, and is sometimes very good. But, I get disheartened when the story of art is treated as only a novelty, and museums/galleries have a way of stumbling in that direction. Art Curious keeps it real! Podcasts about art history are tough, for many reasons. While I would accept more rigor, I like that I can recommend this one to my friends! And, best of all, the producers’ genuine intrigue and honest curiosity is evident. I also like The Renaissance Podcast, which gives a chronological account of Renaissance art history.
