“OK, there are others... but, the museum podcasts border between exhibit advertisements and academic dissertation contests. This is not entirely bad, and is sometimes very good. But, I get disheartened when the story of art is treated as only a novelty, and museums/galleries have a way of stumbling in that direction. Art Curious keeps it real!
Podcasts about art history are tough, for many reasons. While I would accept more rigor, I like that I can recommend this one to my friends! And, best of all, the producers’ genuine intrigue and honest curiosity is evident.
I also like The Renaissance Podcast, which gives a chronological account of Renaissance art history.”
