Philosopher Anselm Mueller considers the traditional opposition between acting well and faring well, and the kinds of steps that thinkers in different cultural settings have taken to address it. Mueller is a visiting scholar with the Virtue, Happiness, and the Meaning of Life project. He gave this talk at the Neubauer Collegium for Culture and Society at the University of Chicago on April 11, 2016.
