TOB Podcast through the lens of Marriage
Well it is official! We now know Christopher West has the lived experience of Theology of the Body since we have confirmation that Wendy West is indeed a real person! As a former Archdiocesan Associate of Youth Ministry and Youth Ministers, I would ponder why isn’t Catechesis and Evangelization impacting our youth and young adults to live their lives out in discipleship. After time and conversation the realization was that conversations of faith were not being had within the family. People who thrived had family practices and traditions rooted in values and faith. And in those conversations people learn the language of their faith and family by listening and practicing the vocabulary of the faith. This is where the genius and grace rests in “Talking with The Wests” in that we now have a podcast on Theology of the Body not from the lens of a speaker or theologian but from the lens of the lived and loved pastoral experience of a husband and wife discussing not just a Theology of the Body but also a very important off shoot - a Theology of the Family. My hope and prayer is for Marie’s couples, single people dating, and religious can take these questions and have it with their family and friends regularly. Looking forward to many more podcasts! I hope Pastors and Educators share this podcast on their websites and social media. And I think both Chris and Wendy should have a button to push whenever they hear the other make a great point with the sound of “an egg being cracked with a knife.”

Every Monday morning, I go around the house cleaning and picking up while listening to this podcast. I just wish it was longer since I need more than 25 min to finish cleaning 😉. This podcast is life-changing.
