“It’s misleading to repeatedly assure CHIP members we’ll be grandfathered into benefits under the new Patron tier system in April without explicitly disclosing that our $5 no longer includes what we signed up for in the first place: the Friday episodes. That’s not going “back to normal” after a month of all access for those of us who’ve been loyally paying each month for years. My automatic payment now nets me “privileges” by way of advance live show notifications, digital content, and Waze directions. Come on, folks.
Yes, Ronna mentioned many times that the tiers were shifting, but I know I’m not the only one annoyed by the purposeful coyness and omission of exactly what we’d be losing unless we upgrade. The sidestepping was unnecessary and feels dishonest when a simple “Access to Friday’s show will now cost $10” announcement would have made the change clear to all listeners.”
