Good content. But can’t deal with the heavy vocal fry of some of the speakers. The last years more young American women have this strong vocal fry. It sounds really weird to me.

I just can't. I love books, I love Slate, I wanted to love this show so much, but I keep instinctually gulping down water and doing vocal warmups, as if I can help by osmosis. PLEASE get a voice coach. And Slate, what are you doing?! This is a podcast. It's all about the voice.Read full review »
