For this episode Ryan Maughan speaks to Dr Nabeel Shirazee who is the Global Chief Technology Officer of the electric drive system company ePropelled. Nabeel has been involved in the development of complex electromagnetic systems since completing his PhD in this field at Cardiff University in 1998. After more than 20 years working in electromagnetic systems development and consulting he merged his consultancy business ElectronicaUK with ePropelled and became the global CTO. ePropelled has several patented electric motor drive system technologies that bring benefits in performance and efficiency, based around their dynamic torque switching technology, where the coil winding configuration of the motor can be re-configured in operation to allow switching between different coil winding configurations.
