After God’s response to his first lament, Habakkuk lifts his voice again 🗣️ but this time calling God’s attention to the unending pain that his people are suffering at the hand of their oppressors. How do we respond to God when it seems that our suffering is larger than we ever thought possible? The world is filled with challenges 😅 and if we are not careful, we’ll become depleted, disheartened, and fall asleep in our spirits 😴 if we’re not seeking Jesus on a daily basis, and receiving strength from the Holy Spirit, we will find ourselves unprepared for Christ’s return 😳 as we wrap up our series, we’re reminded that we need the resilience given by the Spirit to endure the days ahead 🙏

Developing resilience requires us to take action. We all have bad habits and sinful tendencies, these are a symptom of our fallen nature 😓 it’s important that we identify these areas and Realign them with God’s will 🙏 until we do, they will continue to weigh us down 🙅‍♂️ In Part 4 of our Resilient series we’re talking about how we cannot live in the new life He gives us if we remain attached to our old life 🤝

We carry a lot of unnecessary baggage 🎒 but we cannot carry all our worries and problems - our strength is limited, but God’s is not 💪 we need to learn to surrender these burdens before Him, trusting Him with every situation, and letting go of that weight so that we can live lightly 😌 as we continue our journey to become Resilient, we’ll discover the importance of living Surrendered 🤲

We live in days of constant change 🔄 change can be good, but too much change in short periods of time can cause anxiety and instability in our lives 😥 we need to be reminded that in an ever-changing world there is Someone who remains constant. Knowing that God doesn’t change, and that His promises are true, means that we can face the future without fear or anxiety 😌

This Sunday is Father’s Day, so we will continue with our parenting series, Raise Them Up, which we started on Mother’s Day. In Part 2: Trust God, we will learn that we must not put our faith in our efforts as parents. As important as our efforts are in raising children, our faith must ultimately be in God.
