Listen now
Description
Today we are sitting down with Kirstin Tindal. After Kirstin gave birth to her daughter Aurora who was born sleeping at 22 weeks, in her grief, she found a passion in this space and pursued her studies and PHD in the field of reproductive science, now completing a PHD with a focus on stillbirth. Kirstin bravely shares her own journey of loss and describes what it was like being a young mum at just 20, facing this harrowing outcome.  Kirstin's research in her PHD is looking at understanding the causes of stillbirth, looking at associations between endometrial abnormalities (through menstrual fluid and assessing menstruation) and pregnancy outcomes. She also works within the space of consumer engagement, working with bereaved parents to co-design research and determine national stillbirth research priorities.  Today's episode is sponsored by Franjos Kitchen, Australia’s number 1 lactation cookies and motherhood hydration powder.
