Description
Returning to work after kids can be a very stressful transition, made more difficult with huge waitlists for daycare centres and the cost of living. In this week’s episode we’re discussing different ways you can make the return to work more flexible, and better suited to your family and situation.  We’re joined by the amazing Lauren, a mum of 2 and Founder of BubbaDesk – Australia’s pioneering coworking space with onsite childcare, located across NSW. Lauren talks us through her first transition back to work which caused her to stop breastfeeding before she was ready to, and left her feeling unsupported by the company she was working with.  Lauren gives us tips on different things to consider before this big transition, and options you can take with your employer to discuss more flexible working arrangements. Lauren also talks us through what her business Bubbadesk offers parents - with dedicated children’s areas managed by experienced nannies at a 4:1 care ratio, and a separate coworking space with 27” monitors, private call rooms, and a gym. BubbaDesk is reinventing the way parents return to work with a holistic space tailored to supporting families and facilitating a happy work life balance.  To learn more about Lauren and Bubbadesk, check out the links below:  Instagram: @bubbadesk   @laurentopazperrett https://bubbadesk.com/ If you’d like to register your interest in one of the Bubbadesk spaces, follow this link: https://bubbadesk.com/register-interest/ If you want to keep up to date with all things Baby Brain, make sure to follow us on socials Instagram: @babybrain.podcast  Tiktok: @babybrainpodcast Facebook: Baby Brain Podcast See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
