“I don’t normally write reviews but just wanted to say how much I love the podcast. It’s given me an excitement about athletics that I haven’t felt since the early 90s when my life’s ambition was to be Sally Gunnell (spoiler- it didn’t happen). There’s a fantastic cast of characters in athletics at the moment and it’ll be so sad if that can’t be exploited to bring the masses back to the sport. Jody and Bayo have such a good energy, with amusing and insightful analysis, that acknowledges where they might not excel, but feels accessible and knowledgeable to the listener. In the absence of athletics loving friends, I have to talk back to the podcast with my thoughts while I’m listening and if we ever cross paths, I’ll hope to buy you a drink and discuss the joys of athletics and 90s supermodels.
