Honest and insightful- The Ohuruogu career as told to Backstraight Boys.
Just finished listening to part 1 of the Christine Ohuruogu interview from my travels in Melbourne...an apt location to be revisiting the commonwealth games triumph of Melbourne 06, which kick-started Christine’s gold medal rush. In this pod she takes us back to her successful early years with England netball and the difficult decision to switch to track. “The 400m chooses you and I sort of became Newham’s resident 400m runner” Her honesty is laid bare as she recollects the missed tests and my admiration multiplied x100 when I realised exactly what she endured that year and how it fuelled her triumph in Osaka. I cannot wait to hear part 2 from 2008 onwards. Thanks everyone! Jack Perryman
