As a founder and Chairman of an all volunteer non-profit, Texans for Cures, we have advocated for safe, FDA approved stem cell trials to make sure patients aren’t harmed by unproven ,” treatments” like the patients received in Laura’s wonderful podcast. For five years we have attempted to educate policymakers in Texas and in Washington to draft strict ,” Right to Try” legislation to make sure these type of horrific incidents don’t happen! Our advocacy resulted in amended language at both the state and national levels that protects patients.We feel Laura’s podcast is just the tip of the iceberg in raising awareness to these unscrupulous, greedy actors. Wow this podcast is so good but also terrifying!
