Much Needed Feminist Perspective
I really enjoyed the first season and it opened my eyes to the lives of the women who were murdered. The emphasis on social history is excellent. I am really enjoying the second season and am grateful that Pushkin shared for free the bonus episode about “Britain’s brown babies.” A very important, heartbreaking, and touching episode.

Previously read the book I live in the east end and would take myself to the ten bells, then wander the areas these women lived with very different eyes - was always interested in the Ripper stories - but didn’t like the fact that these women were no more than prostitutes with a pathologists...Read full review »

Great to hear about the rest of the story surrounding Jack the Ripper. The host is a true historian. Real historians examine all aspects of a moment in time, not just the juicy bits. All those who criticize her for this are not true historians.
