On the eves of the next Bassmaster Elite Series event on historic Lake Champlain we decided to bring on Alec Morrison to preview a little of what might go down at Champlain. Alec is an accomplished angler all over the country but calls Champlain home.

Bass University Extra Credit podcast! On the first episode of extra credit we welcomed on Joey Nania. (16:00 minute mark) Winner of the Bass Open on Lake Eufala, Oklahoma. We break down Joeys journey from where he is now to where he came from and everything in between. 

The Bassmaster Opens is now past the halfway point and John Garrett is leading the EQ points race. John has been knocking on the door of qualifying for the elites and this year he is well on his way. Listen in to hear all about his journey from college to now. 

Winner of The Ike Foundation Pro Am Keith Cowan. The Upper Chesapeake Bay was the host fishery for this years pro am where contestants had a chance to win a brand new Bass Cat. Keith weighed in 22 pounds and won the event. Tune in to hear how it all went down.

The Bassmaster opens are a proving ground for anglers across the country. Often thought of as the hardest events to win based on the sheer size of the field Powell Kemp exhibited a masterful job of winning The Open of Kerr Reservoir AKA Buggs Island. 

The Dean of The Bass University is at Kerr Reservoir Buggs Island for the Bass Open and were checking in live with him to get a status on whats going on at the lake.
