A professional ballplayer, entrepreneur and now current Olympic competitor, Alex Katz joins the BLTR podcast.  A Long Island native, Alex stayed local when he chose to pitch for the D1 St. Johns Red Storm.  In 3 years, Katz compiled a 3.97 ERA in 124.3 innings for the Red Storm including a memorable 13K shutout vs. Fairfield University.  Drafted by the White Sox in the 27th round of the 2015 MLB Draft, Alex’s professional career has taken him through multiple organizations and now currently with the Tennessee Smokies, a Double A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.  Off the field, Alex ventured into the customizable shoe/cleat business providing creative, unique and exciting designs for current MLB players. With the summer Olympics in full swing, catch Alex pitching for Team Israel as they look to make a run for metal in Japan.  Hosted by Jack Aylmer with co-hosts Sal and Peter LoDuca.
