Journey of Learning
This is the second set of Mike’s Podcasts that I have listened to, the first being the Battle of Verdun. Mike has a unique style of presenting on the subject that is simply infectious. Unlike typical academic treatises on the subject, which are both dry and matter-of-fact, Mike takes you on his journey of learning and, in doing so, imparts his passion for the subject upon the listener. He helps the listener along with interpretations of the data, but always is quick to note that these are his opinions and interpretations, leaving the listener with a desire to look into the subject themselves and create their own opinions and conclusions. I highly recomend the podcasts for anyone that has even a passing interest in the Battles of WW1.

Mike's passion for the machinations of war comes through wonderfully in detailed research and vivid descriptions. The complexity of battle is sometimes a bit overwhelming, but once the smoke clears Mike always pulls your heartstrings with the human details. Highly recommended.Read full review »

Mike presents a great history lesson. I’ve listened to every episode and I must say, each one gets better than the last. Thank you very much
