One of my favorite
I started listening to BP after I was introduced to Tyler and David from their appearance on the /Filmcast for the first time. Ever since then this has become one of my all time favorite podcasts. This is the only podcast that once it finishes downloading I am immediately syncing up my iPod and tuning into whatever topic the two hosts are going to tackle. Each week, the two hosts of the show try and go in-depth into a topic about film, film theory, or sometimes just about a single director; and while they do not will on occasion stray from the topic (sometimes going on tangents that seem to take up more of the show than the actual topic) I am almost always ready and willing to follow along on irreverent and funny ride that the show presents. If you are looking for a movie podcast that talks more about theory and concepts in an engaging and accessible way and less about whatever how new movie has just been released. Than check out Battleship Pretension.

This is one of the best podcasts I have ever listened to, due to the content and the personalities of both of the erudite hosts. One would hope that they keep it going and keep it free, but it would be worth...Read full review »
