What a podcast should be
I recently discovered this podcast after seeing Dr Rodman’s excellent answer in r/askhistorians, and investigating his other works. In the past 2 days I have been listening nonstop, with each episode covering topics in meticulous detail and accuracy, infusing genuine insight, humor, and humanity into a subject that has often been made dry and unpalatable. As someone who enjoyed the earlier episodes of radiolab, but found the coverage rather shallow at times, “bedside rounds” delves into fascinating and controversial topics, without being mired in impregnable jargon. I look forward to listening to this podcast for many episodes to come!

This was one of my favorite podcasts; for several months now I keep coming back to look, hardly any new content....... 😞

Dr. Rodman is fun, clever, and has a radio voice that I'm sure stands out on bedside rounds at the hospital. THe podcasts are extremely well researched and quite a bit of fun.Read full review »
