The Barrel and Flow Festival was everything that we expected and more. This was our third trip to Pittsburgh for the festival. Furthermore, they definitely showed why they are our favorite craft beer festival and the number one craft beer festival in the country. First, we were able to speak to several different people at the festival from brewers to people providing services like mental health. Secondly, and most important, we had a bunch of great beer. The beer for the show is the Adjunct Machine Stout by Barrel Culture Brewing. It is an 11.75% cloud of sweet chocolate and malted milk balls. It’s the perfect receptacle and instrument for all the adjunct flavorings you could hope for. Also, they recirculated the beer over wild Thai banana, roasted peanuts, toasted coconut, and marshmallows. Beer Is Fundamental is dedicated to all of you who love craft beer.
