“The OG surgery podcast. Great for residents/fellows/young attendings. Essentially has a monopoly on the market, which is never a good thing for the consumers. Would like to see other podcasts step it up.
Recently, some of the episodes have had a lot of “fluff”. The most recently uploaded episode on “melanoma landmark paper” had about 15min of content stretched out into a 45min episode. Actual content starts at 9:00. The benefit of a podcast as opposed to live broadcast is the ability to edit out the awkward pauses, “umm’s” and meaningless statements/pleasantries. Hoping to see improvements on that.”
