Alana story of overcoming a traumatic first birth to an empowered second home-birth was next to no compare. She is a Christian home birth mentor teaching women how to harness the power of their body’s innate wisdom and birth at home with God. Her mentoring work stems from her own birth experiences as a mother of 2. Alana birthed her first baby in the hospital, she was born with in an episiotomy and ventouse delivery.  The use of medical intervention triggered a cascade of challenges for her postpartum; breastfeeding struggles, social isolation, severe sleep deprivation and an overall sense of failure as a birthing woman and a Mother. Having found healing through the trauma of her first, she chose to exit the medical system in her second pregnancy and went on to have an empowering and medically unassisted home birth. The journey of overcoming her birth trauma and learning to trust her God given birth wisdom again, is the foundation her birth mentorship derives from. Alana strives to be a voice of inspiration and empowerment for all women as they prepare for birth; providing spiritual, mental and emotional support throughout pregnancy.
