“I’ve listened to this podcast fir 6 months or so but this episode truly resonated with me. At 63 I started CrossFit last year and although my lifelong battle with obesity is ongoing I feel so much better about myself. Yes- many of the exercises are scaled to suit me - but everyone is incredibly supportive. The benefits have been huge in my everyday life - getting out of my car more easily - picking up something from the floor.
Wherever you are in life it is your responsibility to look after yourself and whilst my nutrition isn’t always on point I do always strive to achieve my fitness goals. Never ever give up! My deadlift pb was 45kg in February but it was 105kg just before lockdown. Just keep trying.
