Mostly hits over misses
I do like ToE a LOT, it has become one of my favourite podcasts of NPR’s Radiotopia. There are episodes that hit the mark so well, like nothing has ever hit it before - like A Better Tomorrow, or Waiting in Line, or Pret-a-Portable…And there are strange tangents that are just bizarre, and then there are topics that just seem strained and become droning and boring…like clouds 1,2,3 and the latest, Man without a country, which I admit I had no will to listen to. Please understand my critique comes from the very high standard I have come to expect from Benjamen Walker, so with that in mind, I implore him to return a bit more to the roots and enough with the tangents and esp. fictional reenactments…not what ToE is supposed to be. Also, Benjamen, sometimes your voice sounds as if you can barely keep yourself awake, like you’re falling asleep on the mike. Perhaps some coffee? Love ya.
