“Dear Ladies,
I enjoyed your last two episodes on decluttering and only bringing into your home items that are really needed.
Now, I have never been a pack rat and I rather enjoy purging. After listening to Margery talk about getting rid of 50% of what they own, I was inspired and thought I am going to do that too!
My husband and I are retired and moved to the Minneapolis area about 8 years ago to be near our kids and grandkids. We got rid of a lot of stuff before we loaded up and came here. But, I thought I might as well see what I can get rid of now.
I am on my 2nd week of purging and we have taken four loads of things to a thrift store to donate with more to go! I am not done yet!
When my father in law passed away, it took us three weeks and the weekends to clean out his house. Mind you, this was after working all day at our jobs. I came as close to be nervous breakdown than I have ever been. It was exhausting! I promised then and there not to leave a clean out job like that for our kids.
So, thank you ladies for inspiring me! I didn’t realize we had as much to dispose of as we did!
