“Was really excited for the launch of a wedding podcast because I love all the other betches podcasts. However after the first episode this whole platform just gets one big “yikes” from me. It’s insanely out of touch. Bashing on diy and realistic (for most) budgets. Saying $10,000 is absolutely not do-able for a good wedding “unless it’s like on a farm” is alienating to a lot of your demographic and honestly a disgusting point of view. It wasn’t just the one, first guest either that solely promoted this point of view. The host herself said “my parents said they’d give me $30,000 for the wedding and I cried because it wasn’t enough”
Unrealistic, out of touch, not relatable for probably most of your demographic
I’m sure a lot of high end brides listen, so it’s nice for you to cater to them as well. However, you can represent diversity in lifestyles and budgets without completely degrading your low-budget brides.”
