I know I've got the normal Wednesday show coming up in a few hours, but how could I not fire up the Rodecaster for a quick reaction episode of Better Lait Than Never to talk about the new Evan Bouchard contract? After what feels like an eternity of waiting, the Edmonton Oilers and Evan Bouchard have reportedly come to terms on a two-year bridge contract at $3.9 million/season. From my side of the computer screen, this two-year deal is basically what I expected him to sign so I wasn't exactly surprised when the details came out, but that was not necessarily the case for a lot of Oilers fans. When I asked for feedback on Twitter, the reaction was way more split than I expected but I guess that's to be expected no matter what the final deal looked like. Frankly, there's nothing better than arguing with fellow Nation Citizens about contracts, and I was very excited to break it all down on this quick reaction episode of BLTN.
