Great Escape
Just found this podcast and have been enjoying most of the content. Between Shadow and Light goes into numerous episodes of the beloved original TZ with a deep dive analysis into themes, notable actors/directors and of course analysis of the underlying meanings related to fear and the human condition. I enjoy listening to another person who thoroughly enjoys TZ as much as I do, though there are a few things I wish would be different. The bias of his favorite episodes is pretty clear and his attitude towards his non-favorites can come off as harsh and dismissive (Mr. Beesly was not that bad!) Secondly, the language isn’t always family friendly and the way he talks about the 60’s Hollywood starlets is uncomfortable. Lastly and probably most importantly, the addition of political opinions is really too much. I come to this podcast as a way to disconnect from the everyday problems that we face and the political content really runs that for those of us who use TZ as our escape. Please keep talking TZ and all things Serling (we love him, too) but please, please, please find another place for your brain dump of fear and pain in this political society. We all want to be in another dimension, let this be it.

He blends a good knowledge of the subject with a lot of add-ins to keep things interesting. His production quality is strong, and it is...Read full review »

I only just discovered this podcast today, having heard you on another TZ podcast. Disappointing to hear that you're (possibly) calling it a day. I enjoyed the format and all the information and clips from related films and shows. I've only heard one episode so far, but I plan to listen...Read full review »
