“I listen to podcasts about three hours a day, and I have never heard a podcast with this high a ratio of ads to podcast length. On top of that, the ads are completely tone deaf to the painful reasons listeners tune in for support and strategies. Selling “Skylight” family planning calendars to parents whose children haven’t spoken to them in years or decades who have no shared activities to put on a calendar? Promoting holiday shopping to people for whom holiday gift exchanges are a painful reminder of times when the family spent holidays together but no longer even exchange gifts? Ads for doing your children’s laundry with special products when the children haven’t come home in years, so you’re not doing their laundry? Almost too dysregulating and jarring to have to listen to the many frequent tone deaf ads throughout to keep listening to the host. Host content seems helpful otherwise.”
