In this episode you and I explore what we can do as Christians to help end the conflict in Ukraine and help the nearly 2 million refugees fleeing the war zone. I see the images of destruction and hear the anguish in the voices of those suffering the horrors of war in Ukraine. My mind races with questions that seemingly have no answers. God, please grant me the wisdom to trust in your Providence, to know there is a Divine plan, a plan I know not off, but a plan that will ultimately lead to outcomes of Your choosing. As Saint Francis prayed to you centuries ago, “Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.” Through Your Grace and Love, may those who pursue war have a change of heart and choose peace. May the suffering of those affected by the conflict be comforted. May the reality of war lead the world to embrace peace. And yet I know God Your wisdom is beyond our understanding. As Jesus prayed on the Mount of Olives as chronicled in Luke 22 Verse 42: “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but Thine be done.” Thank you God.
