Psalm 46:1–3: "God is Our Refuge and Strength" “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.” While the words of this Psalm speak of physical catastrophe, they can apply to our emotional catastrophes and storms as well. Knowing God is with us in our hours of darkness can give us strength to survive and even thrive in the face of adversity. It is vital to reach out to God through prayer and accept His promise offered in this Psalm. Re-read the Psalm allowing the words to energize your mind, body, spirit and heart.
