Estate Planning for Pets
The flippant nature of this discussion was outrageous. Neither host can responsibly take care of their own pets and completely miss the importance of this topic. They agree to euthanize older pets that might be less than social. My father passed away 3 years ago and had an aggressive cat that would attack any visitor. No one wanted the feline. I took her home and after 4 months was able to socialize her enough so I wouldn’t be attacked every time I entered her room. She is now docile and living out her life in peace and comfort. You needed to emphasize how easy a trust is to set up for your animals. My trust has financial payments as well as medical coverage. My Trustee also receives yearly payments to monitor my animals. A more serious and sensitive discussion of this topic would have been greatly appreciated.
