Writing is subpar, story itself is good
The pacing is pretty bad and the timeline is confusing, plus the prose can be… cringey at times (looking at you, Darwin section of castles and queens), but overall the story it itself is interesting and honestly captivating enough to be worth a listen—like reality TV, something to put on in the background to pass the time.

It’s more like an audiobook with soundeffects than like a documentary. It therefore heavily relies on wether you like the voices and their reading styles.
