Interesting
I am a donor conceived person who found out from a DNA test, so I tend to listen to podcasts like this one to understand how other people felt about their discovery. I cried listening to the first episode because it reminded me of my story. I think it’s important to talk about these stories so parents can start to feel more comfortable talking to their children about it earlier. The fertility industry is a problematic, and people should be hearing about it! My issue with this podcast is the creator/host. There are other podcasts hosted by people who are donor conceived, recipient parents, adopted, or just directly involved and understand the effects of these secrets coming out. This feels like she is using us for a career and entertainment. I mean you literally have to pay extra to hear more people stories about dna discoveries.. not the parts she researched. Just because you’re a storyteller doesn't always mean your the right person to tell a good story. I was very annoyed in the first episode that it sounded like this host is benefiting from her friends story that the host found to be soo crazy that she decided to make a podcast about it.. right when she admittedly felt like she wasn’t doing well career wise. I guess the friend was okay with it, but I personally won’t keep listening to this one when there are similar podcasts with narrators who can relate to the guests’ stories, come with more empathy, and use proper terminology.Read full review »

Some topics addressed include:...Read full review »

This fascinates me both as someone who has a science degree and has done genetic research, as well as someone who doesn’t know my full family history. My father was adopted from an orphanage and he was estranged from me for over the last 14 years from his life. He struggled with the wanting to...Read full review »

Interesting topic and perspectives presented in the podcast. However, you get to episode 10 she has to go ahead and give her arrogant, unnecessary opinion on child rights. You lost me.
