“Bramhanacha Dev” is a story of a group of boys in their late teens, who just enjoy being a nuisance to the whole village located in Konkan. Be it pulling pranks on the village teacher to even teasing girls. Their pranks intensify until one day they throw into a ditch a God’s statue, only to ultimately realize that it is time to grow up... This story is written by late Hamid Dalwai, a great social thinker and reformist. This story has been written almost fifty years ago but remains contemporary in the social ethos that it projects.
