A very educational & entertaining podcast
I came across this podcast recently and it has been a great listen learning about these amazing players of the Negro League. I’ve always had a fascination with the league and of the barnstorming leagues that had black teams and white teams playing each other years before MLB integrated. Now as a middle aged white man having found this podcast and to actually hear interviews of these players intertwined with interviews with people who knew them as well as Bob Kendrick’s commentary & stories makes for a fantastic listening experience.

More reviews of Black Diamonds
I live in Pittsburgh and always loved the stories of the Crawford’s and Grays. This is so entertaining and educating to listen to and it brings a smile to my face on every episode. I took a class once by Rob Ruck who is a great Negro Leagues historian and author. Hope to see him on the podcast!

.... is that it didn’t start sooner. Excellent stories, conversation and insight into a topic that caught my interest a long time ago, but I didn’t know where to go to find out more. I don’t listen to a lot of podcasts anymore, but I don’t miss an episode of Black Diamonds.
