my faves, always.
the black girl in om podcast is everything that you need! the influence that these magical women have on the community of black women reminds me of a toni morrison quote. she says, “if there is a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, you must be the one to write it.” deun and lauren and zakkiyyah pin pointed what we needed as black women, what we weren’t receiving... and they gave it to us. in a variety of forms. this podcast being one of them. i will forever be grateful for the women of black girl in om and the genuine and sacred and welcoming space that they provide for black women to rise in.
