“Niambi, when you were referring to having a spark or connection many times people do not understand; how choosing a spark over connection impact them or influences children behaviors if present. I see it all to well in my profession as a LPC. Clients/patients who are in situationships, cohabitating, and married often get caught up in the glitz and glamour while neglecting the red flags, even more accepting certain level of toxicity. As a professional who specializes in trauma therapy with child and adolescents this continued neglect impacts children upbringing and development . Evermore as I reach the end of my journey of becoming a Pediatric Neuropsychologist. I seen first hand the neurological damage those in homes like Malcolm and Marie have on underrepresented minorities.
