“Hey you two + Mabel! My name is Akuba and I’m checking in from Atlanta. Ive been married 7yrs this past NYE. I’ve been listening to you since January 2019. I had just lost my dad (RIP Joshua Torvikey, forever missed) the month before and I can’t recall what led me to you but you definitely got me through my days returning back to work from bereavement. From there, I started listening to you on the train to work. I was team Android back then and listened on my work iPhone. I typed out a whole review, waited til shout out Friday only to be disappointed because I realized it didn’t post. This was back when you all were debating about Android vs iPhones, so it was super hilarious to me. I love the show. The two of you Keep me laughing and arguing with you. I recommend your show to everyone. Every now and then I’ll slide in the BLM DMs on IG and y’all will throw a little love. Lol. Working from home, I traded the train for walking the track in the mornings and afternoon. You all kept me sane and laughing during the Ponderosa. In spite of it all, it was a transformative time for me and Im still celebrating that I’m now the new Director of Product Development for PATTERN Beauty by Tracee Elliss Ross!!!
