Connecting with my culture through this pod!!
Growing up I always knew I was mixed. However, I wasn’t around a lot of African-Canadian/African-American culture, and have only recently been leaning into it and finding my identity as a mixed Black woman (thanks 23 and me). I have to say, just listening to you all speak makes me feel like I’m at a home I didn’t know existed. I just get the feeling of pure joy when I listen to the pod… but, Bray… that cold open bit has got to go! 😂😂😂 But in all seriousness, y’all are helping me connect to the culture in a way I wouldn’t have thought possible, and I’ll forever be grateful to your podcast for making its way onto my radar. Keep on fighting the good fight for racial diversity in Hollywood. ✊🏽
