I love this podcast
Your episode on “Devotion” answered a lot of questions for me that about your philosophy around “Black pain.” There are times, such as your review of “Till,” where I ask myself, “wouldn’t movies that center Black experiences in America have to center black pain and American racism or else fail to show a true picture of the Black experience?” In this episode, you explained how you don’t have answers yet, but that younger BIPOC filmmakers and artists are struggling to come up with answers to this question. I look forward to the art that will come from your struggle. It may not always be easy or comfortable, but it will be important. Also, Jonathan, the bit is dead. Let it go.

I just discovered this podcast and it is so great. I love the breakdowns and the honest discussions that doesn't only put our society under examination, but each of us personally. A great listen, engaging and funny.Read full review »
