“Shane is awesome and great content Key correction to Johnny’s statement about how motion gives a receiver a head start because he’s in stride. That’s not true. Unless he’s just cutting straight horizontal to the flat, guys do NOT get head starts and momentum because they can’t turn upfield until the snap. Page would love Canadian football bc those rules permit a receiver to be in motion vertically before the snap - o get that, and motion is great - but the most salient goal of motion is to see what safety or CB is traveling w a particular receiver. No travel = zone not man. but this is a minor beef. I am listening religiously because I’m trying to figure out how Shane is so patient enough not to interrupt Johnny Page. I like Page’s perspective and he’s a knowledgeable analyst, but he needs to talk less, and not always feel like he has to prove his expertise.”
