Finding Balance in the Division of Domestic Labor -Zack Watson
I wish Zack’s information and insights had been available to me during my pre adoption preparation days and my later pregnancies (over 40 years ago!). Lamaze, Parenting Classes, La Leche support groups…. All so helpful, but none of these addressed the issues surrounding mental load and the inequalities prevalent in the division of domestic labor. This type of awareness training should be included in all prenatal education programs, maybe even in those mandatory high school family living classes. Pre natal and post partum days in our household would likely have been less drama-filled, for sure, if we had known the work of Zack Watson! Thanks, BAB, for an episode easy to understand, devoid of the psychobabble that often dominates important discussions about mental health . For what it’s worth, I think you have reached your target audience, though I am certainly many years past that demographic!

This podcast is so genuine and special. Two amazing people who care so much about motherhood, parenthood and people in general. You’ll find yourself laughing, tearing up, relating, relistening. All my kids are out of the baby stage and I still love listening and find so much value.

I couldn’t understand what was happening and even my therapist was not hearing me when I tried to get help, I felt very isolated and ashamed of my behavior. Very grateful for this podcast...Read full review »
