Pharmacy based not natural...
Just listened to July 22nd episode about Gout. While it is informative, it focuses a lot on pharmaceutical drugs, as opposed to natural and longterm remedies that tackle the root cause. We know a lot about gout nowadays, and we know the dietary things that can lead to a buildup of Uric acid. The fact that the Doctor is predominantly discussing prescription solutions, which on the whole tackle the painful symptoms of gout, as opposed to addressing the underplaying cause, comes across a little too in favour of ‘big pharma’ for me... Much better had the conversation focused more on all the preventatives, and food and herbal based remedies, than prescription drugs. As for me, giving a person a drug to ‘solve’ their gout problem, simply allows them to ignore root cause, and keep consuming the foods, and dare I say alcohol, that has lead to their issue...
