The Evil eye is supposed to cause harm and misfortune to people, and may even kill them but this is according to superstition started by the Greeks in ancient times. The bible looks at the evil eye as selfishness, envy and jealousy; I am inclined to state that it also includes coveting thy neighbor. As children of God we are assured that no weapon formed against us shall prosper because through the death and resurrection of Christ, we have the power to defeat Satan as long as we have faith and trust in God's Word.
